How to take the bus
Getting to the bus stop:
1. Heading out to catch the bus
Get to the stop 5 minutes before the bus is expected to arrive. Check Infobus, the telephone information service, for the arrival times of the next two buses.
At the bus stop
Make sure the route number and direction are the ones you want.
Signal the driver by raising your hand to indicate that you would like to board.
2. The trip
Watch the step! Use the handrail if necessary.
Pay your fare with:
Your Multi card: Pass your card over the reader to activate the green indicator light. Then show the driver the photo side of your Multi card.
A bus ticket: Drop your ticket in the fare collection box at the front of the bus next to the driver.
Cash: Drop the exact change in the fare collection box at the front of the bus next to the driver.
Payment with cash or a bus ticket entitles you to a transfer. Ask the driver for one when you pay. Transfers are valid for up to 2 hours from the beginning of this route.
On the bus
There are reserved courtesy seats for riders with reduced mobility, expectant mothers and riders with a non-visible disability.
If you have to remain standing, grab a handrail, hook or grab bar along the aisle.
Move as far as you can to the back of the bus. Make sure you can properly identify your destination stop.
As you approach your stop, signal your intention to disembark:
Press on the red button on a grab bar; and
Pull the yellow cord running the length of the bus above the windows.
At your destination
Wait for the bus to come to a full stop before you stand up. Disembark by the rear door of the bus.
To ensure everyone’s safety, never cross in front of a bus.
